What People Are Saying About Moulin de la Galette
Our guide, Alexis, was awesome. Very knowledgeable and kind. The tour started on time and it was very enjoyable. The guide was very charismatic, funny and made sure that we enjoyed our two hours with him. I would definitely recommend it! He also took personal time outside of the tour to give us recommendations about places to visit and eat.
Interesting stories about Van Gogh and other artists. Excellent pace, great English and splendid Restaurant recommendations (Guide Holly).
We spent a lovely evening wandering through the streets of Montmartre with Esteban. His stories brought the history of the neighbourhood to life for us and we learned lots. Definitely recommend one of these tours
Onno gave us great tour up streets I would normally not have gone myself and had interesting stories to tell us about the various points of interest: the house where Van Gogh lived for two years with his brother, the only vineyard within Paris, the two famous windmills (other than Moulin Rouge), the little cabaret venue where Picasso and Renoir would meet and, of course, Sacre Coeur and the wonderful view of Paris from there. The weather was excellent and fortunately the group was not too big so we were able to move on quite speedily without having to hang around waiting for people. All most enjoyable and informative; well worth doing, especially with a guide like Onno.
Thank you "Alex" - what a star of this tour and the detail you are so passionate about, this for us was one of our highlights of the area. Whilst the group was a little big, if you were interested enough you could keep pace; just be mindful there are some hills to climb. A tour we can recommend for those interested in detail of Montmartre... One note though - we only found the guide for check in by accident as she only had a "red umbrella" on a sunny hot day and was not wearing the noted "red t-shirt". When I asked, "Camilla" said she had not been given a red t shirt as yet.
