  • Marrakesh: Full-Day Desert and Mountain Tour with Camel Ride

    1. Marrakesh: Full-Day Desert and Mountain Tour with Camel Ride

The adventure begins with pickup between 8:30 and 9am from your hotel in Marrakesh. Head south towards the vast Agafay Desert, admiring the changing landscape along the way as the city gives way to luscious greenery. Arrive at the large village of Imlil located at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains, then pass through the incredible Kik Plateau. Next, embark on a 30-minute camel ride and soak up views of the surrounding landscapes. After your ride, enjoy a relaxing tea break and learn about local Berber culture, as well as their traditions, history, and way of life. Pass through several Berber villages on your way to the Amizmiz Valley, then arrive at Tinirt Village where you can have lunch at a traditional Berber house. After lunch, continue the tour to the Great Plain of Haouz, passing through the village of Ouled Mataa which was originally inhabited by Bedouin Arab tribes from the ...

Fantastic experience! Perfect one day trip outside of Marrakech, getting to see an Argan Oil Cooperative (Not mentioned in the description—so glad we got to do it!), the Atlas Mountains, a waterfall, the desert…the camel ride was a little bit of a letdown (they took you in a circle around the ranch area, with all the camels tied together, and a guide leading it, but the guide didn’t talk at all or give interesting data about the camels; we just walked, very slowly, in silence in a big circle) but still cool to see the camels and ride. Abdul was a fantastic driver/guide for the day. Fun, funny, knowledgeable, and kind. Ibrahim was also a good guide for the hiking portion. The vehicle was also nice and comfortable. Bottled water was said to be included, but was only received at lunch; it would have been nice to have in the car and/or for the hike. We would totally choose this tour again!!

  • Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride

    2. Atlas Mountains Day Trip with Camel Ride

Your driver will meet you at your accommodation (or preferred pick-up point) at 9.00 am to start the transfer to Imlil. On your way you will pass through the town of Tahnaout where you can stop at an Argan Oil Co-operative and learn how the woman of the co-operative turn the Argan nut into many of the different Argan Oil-based products Morocco is famous for. You will then continue on through Asni where, on Saturdays, a traditional Berber Souk and market can be visited. Once you arrive in Imlil you will stop for a welcome glass of mint tea and meet your guide before commencing your tour of the local area. Your guide will help you decide on the length of your tour (you can choose between 1 and 3 hours) and then you will make your way to the largest and highest village in Imlil Valley. Your journey will take you past waterfalls and the hamlets of Ait Mizan, Targa and Imoula. You will stop...

Overall it was nice but there was few things that could be improved. First of all during our first stop to see a village, the guide got a little too deep in the history of the village and Islam in general which was interesting only for first few minutes. The Argan oil house was a nice experience with breakfast and tea served for us there. One thing that was the most disappointing was the camel ride as the spot was just on the side of a road with all the camels tied together so that when we were riding them, camels head was tied to the other camels bum in front of him. It just felt quite uncomfortable and definitely not what we thought it would be.

  • Marrakesh: Atlas Mountains Day Trek with Lunch

    3. Marrakesh: Atlas Mountains Day Trek with Lunch

Escape the bustle of the city and embark on a tour to Morocco’s countryside from Marrakesh. Following a pickup from your accommodation at 9:00 AM, enjoy a relaxed 1.5-hour ride. Make a stop at one of the towns on the way before arriving in Imlil at around 11:00 AM. In Imlil, the small village at the foothills of Morocco’s highest mountain Toubkal, you will meet your local guide and start trekking into Morocco’s rural area. Discover beautiful Berber villages along the way and take in panoramic views of the Atlas mountains. Enjoy a full 3-hour walk through the towns around Aremds Ait Souka, Techeddirt, and many more.  In the afternoon, stop at Aroumd to explore this beautiful village in the Assif Aït Mizane Valley. Then, have a traditional lunch at a Berber guesthouse. Take a short digestive walk after lunch before heading back to Marrakesh at 4:30 PM.

We had an awesome day!! Our driver Hassan was incredibly friendly and gave us some great information as well as served as an awesome DJ throughout the day! The hike in Imlil was fantastic, great views and a very attentive guide, Ibrahim, who always made sure everyone was fine and gave us enough time to catch our breaks. Lunch in a local restaurant was accompanied by an amazing view of the Atlas mountain and the dromedary ride in traditional Berber clothes did not disappoint! Absolutely would recommend! 10/10 price-performance ratio

It was beyond than what we expected. We learned so much about the tour and appreciate the Berber's culture more. The guides delivered more than they ought to do. Very friendly and accomodating. Job well done. A big thanks to our driver Azis Talauol and our guide Ibrahim. Highly recommended. You made the tour more enjoyable. ☺

Mohammad potatoes and Aziz were very kind and perfect, they assured everyone was happy and satisfied! They were very patient and professional!
