From CapeTown: 12-Day Tour to Johannesburg with acommodation
Embark on a 12-day journey through South Africa’s diverse landscapes, wildlife, and cultural heritage. Starting in Cape Town, head to Betty’s Bay to see African penguins, followed by whale watching in Hermanus, a wine-tasting experience at Benguela Cove, and a visit to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, for your first overnight. Day two brings visits to the charming town of Swellendam, a safari experience at Botlierskop Game Reserve where you will see some of Africa’s big five, elephants, lions, buffaloes, rhinos, and many more animals, and an evening in Mossel Bay. The adventure continues through the Garden Route, where you’ll explore Wilderness and the Knysna Heads, take a sunset cruise on Knysna Lagoon, and stay in Knysna. Day four features a hike in Robberg Nature Reserve and relaxation on Plettenberg Bay’s beaches. Adrenaline seekers will love day five at Bloukrans Bridge, home to the world’s highest bungee jump (own expense), followed by a tour of Port Elizabeth. Coastal vibes continue with visits to Port Alfred and East London, culminating in a night in East London. In the Wild Coast region, you’ll explore Mvezo, Nelson Mandela's birthplace, the Mthatha Museum, and stay in Mthatha. Day eight is a cultural and scenic highlight, featuring the Mandela Capture Site, Howick Falls, and arrival in Durban for the night. After a brief Durban tour on day nine, you’ll venture to St Lucia Estuary in iSimangaliso Wetland Park for a memorable hippo and crocodile boat cruise. Days 10-11 immerse you in Mpumalanga, with a full-day Kruger National Park safari, where you can see Africa’s Big 5, elephants, lions, bufalloes, rhino, leopard and many more animals, and following day visits to the Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, and Berlin Falls. The tour concludes on day twelve as you travel through Mpumalanga, arriving in Johannesburg.
