Departure from Sydney: Your day begins with a scenic drive from Sydney at 8:00 AM. As you travel south along the coast, take in the picturesque landscapes and listen to fascinating commentary from your guide. The private nature of the tour allows flexibility and personal attention throughout the journey. Kiama Blowhole: Your first stop is the charming coastal town of Kiama, home to the famous Kiama Blowhole. Watch the spectacular water spray, which can reach heights of up to 30 meters under the right conditions. Formed from basalt lava flows over 260 million years ago, this blowhole is the largest of its kind in the world. Capture breathtaking photos and take in the scenic coastline around this natural wonder. Jervis Bay: Continue your journey to the pristine waters of Jervis Bay, known for its powder-white sandy beaches and rich marine life. Stop at the coastal village of Huskisson for a delicious lunch by the marina. Afterward, enjoy an optional dolphin-watching cruise (additional cost), where you'll have the chance to see playful dolphins in their natural habitat. During the right season, you might also spot migrating whales. The boat offers plenty of space for capturing perfect wildlife shots and soaking in the stunning views of the bay. Kangaroo Valley: Next, venture inland to the serene Kangaroo Valley, a picturesque region known for its rolling hills, lush greenery, and charming rural village. Visit Hampden Bridge, Australia’s last surviving wooden suspension bridge, and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Take a leisurely stroll through the quaint village, visiting local cafés or boutiques, and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside. Fitzroy Falls: Head towards Fitzroy Falls, an 81-meter waterfall located in Morton National Park. This awe-inspiring natural wonder cascades into a beautiful valley below, with several lookout points offering stunning views. Easy walking trails lead you to the Fitzroy Falls Lookout, where you can admire the waterfall and the surrounding wilderness. The nearby Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre provides interesting exhibits on the region’s history, flora, and fauna, enhancing your visit with local knowledge. Grand Pacific Drive & Sea Cliff Bridge: On your return journey, take the scenic Grand Pacific Drive, renowned for its spectacular coastal views. Drive across the famous Sea Cliff Bridge, which extends over the ocean and provides panoramic vistas of the coastline below. A favorite among photographers, this bridge has been featured in numerous films and car commercials, offering a unique experience of driving above the ocean. Bald Hill Lookout: Make a brief stop at Bald Hill Lookout, where you can enjoy sweeping views over the Illawarra region. This elevated vantage point is perfect for taking in the breathtaking scenery before concluding your adventure. Return to Sydney: Relax as you journey back to Sydney, with an estimated arrival at your hotel around 7:00 PM.

On the full-day tour we’ll follow the Grand Pacific Drive to Stanwell Tops, over Sea Cliff Bridge and on past Wollongong to Kiama. There we visit the famous blowhole and enjoy a stroll through the high streets of this popular seaside town. From here we turn inland. Our drive will wind through dairy lands to the country village of Berry – a good lunch spot. From here we drive on through stands of temperate rainforest and descend into a place which feels sealed from time – the Kangaroo Valley. We pass through this little village – the main street lined with old fashioned bakeries, a welcoming country pub, and a variety of shops. Climbing out of the valley we’ll head for a view of the Fitzroy Falls in Morton National Park. Here, the Wides Meadow Creek tumbles a sheer 81 metres into the valley below. Lastly, we’ll make a quick stop in either one of the Southern Highland villages – such as Bowral – or a cool climate vineyard, if a spot of wine tasting sounds like just the thing to round out your day.
