The hike to the lake is 8 kilometers long and takes about 2-2.5 hours each way. The hike is along a paved roadway and is not difficult. You'll enjoy beautiful views along the walk including several mountain waterfalls. At the end of your visit to the lake, you'll hike back to the starting point and then head back to your hotel in Krakow.

While at the lake, relax for a bit before heading back down on another 2-hour hike. Next, head to Zakopane and take a trip up Gubalowka Mountain by funicular. After, spend time on Krupowki Street and soak up the authentic atmosphere of the city. Peruse the shops and restaurants, and try some traditional cottage cheese. Zakopane carries the proud name of the "skiing capital of Poland" and its the country's most popular holiday resort. From Zakopane, move on to Chocolow and visit the Chocholowska Baths, the largest thermal complex in Podhale. The water here is extracted from a depth of nearly 3,600 meters (11,811 feet) and submerged rocks emit beneficial micronutrients such as sulfur, calcium, magnesium, and sodium. Unwind for 3 hours in the 8 whirlpools of thermal water, the swimming pool brine bath, and the outdoor swimming pools, all with a temperature of 36° Celsius (97° Fahrenheit).

Begin with a pickup at your hotel. Then, start exploring Krakow in the Old Town. Pass through the Kraków Barbican, which is the gateway to the old town, and see the city walls. After this, drive by the Czartoryski Museum and Świętego Jana on the way to the Main Market Square. Marvel at the historical landmarks and cafes in this public space that is Europe's largest medieval plaza. Then, see the water fountains at Plac Szczepański, a rejuvenated public space, and the Collegium Maius, a university building known for its courtyard and cloisters. Arrive at the Town Hall. See some more renowned landmarks, including the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, Bishop's Palace, and the Czartoryski Museum. Appreciate the view of the castle on top of a limestone bluff at Wawel Hill, the Roman Catholic Parish of the Holy Cross, and Juliusz Słowacki Theatre as well. Admire the view of St. Florian's Gate and its Gothic towers, which has been a gateway to the city since the Middle Ages. See the Old Synagogue, Popper Synagogue, Remuh Synagogue, and Izaak Synagogue. After that, go to plac Nowy, Dom Heleny Rubinstein, and the Museum of Municipal Engineering. Take a break at the Corpus Christi Basilica, a Gothic church established in 1335 by King Casimir III the Great. Continue to Wolnica Square, where a salt trading route from Wieliczka and Bochnia used to pass. Take photos of Father Bernatek’s Bridge, which is famous for its sculptures by the artist Jerzy Kędziora. Go to Podgórze on the way to visit the Plac Bohaterów, which was a part of the Ghetto. Drive to Apteka pod Orłem and then see Oscar Schindler's factory, which hosts 2 museums. Continue to see the Jewish Ghetto. End the tour at Église Saint-Joseph, a historic church in the Podgórze district. Eat lunch in the famous Morskie Oko restaurant to sample the best Polish cuisine.

Highly recommend this tour- well worth doing from Krakow and our guide Tomasz was so friendly, informative and told us so much about Poland.
