  • Parking is available for 3 hours in front of Chillon Castle — you must collect a permit which is available from the ticket office free of charge
  • Dogs are not allowed on the castle grounds, however, kennels are available at the Bazar
  • The Chateau is not fully wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for prams, you are advised to bring a baby carrier
  • Small and medium lockers are available in the cafeteria for a deposit of 1 CHF
  • Audioguides are available to rent onsite for 6 CHF

Superbe château !! Prévoir 2h30 à 3h pour le visiter. Je vous conseille de prendre l'audioguide, cela permet de vous guider et voir toutes les pièces, avec vue sur le lac Leman et les montagnes. Magnifique ! Le château est également bien conservé pour l'époque. Facilement accessible en bus depuis le centre de Montreux (ligne 201) ou en train (possible depuis Genève...) Il y a aussi un café sur place : ouvert en journée seulement

Get there right when they first open. You’ll have the castle mainly to yourself for a bit before the crowds of tour buses show up. It’s an absolutely beautiful castle. With even more incredible views! The footing can be uneven. So watch where you’re stepping. I nearly fell a few times while walking through doorways and not realizing they weren’t level. The only disappointing thing was the top of the berth at the very end of the audio tour. I was hoping to be able to go outside and walk around the top of the berth and have beautiful views of the lake/mountains. Unfortunately you climb to the top and are in an enclosed room with small widows with netting over them. So you’re unable to really enjoy the views or take pictures. Maybe this will change if they were up due to the construction/renovation. But, as of now, it was kind of an anti-climatic end of the tour.

Le château est vraiment superbe Quelle découverte!! Par contre 2 choses négatives - obligé de faire la queue pour un pointage même si les billets sont pris sur internet !!! Du coup pas d avantages - attention très mauvaise indication entre la pièce 12 et la 13 ... tout le monde se trompe dixit une personne travaillant au château!!!!! Dommage !!!
