Enjoy an excursion to Aigues Mortes, a magnificent fortified city, classified as a Grand site Occitanie. In its downtown area, you will find a beautiful square where the famous statue of Saint Louis is located. Discover the "salins du midi" (by small train) and let yourself be seduced by the pink colors. Walk among the lakes to discover the birds of the Camargue Enjoy Saintes Maries de la mer and visit its emblematic building: its church with the statue of Saint Sara, the Black Virgin. On the way back, discover the Tour Carbonnière alone in the middle of the marshes and rice fields. This square tower of the 13th century impressed the travelers of the time. Take the beautiful stairs to enjoy a view of the whole region

The day trip had a lot of variety. We enjoyed both nature, the flamingos and other birds, camargue horses and bulls, as well as the wonderful history and culture of Camargue. The salines were outstanding and so was Aigue Mortes and Sainte Marie de la Mer. Our guide did an excellent job sharing his love for the Camargue with us. This is a tour worth taking.

It was interesting to learn about the Salin and to see the flamingos and to visit the walled city. We loved going to the reserve to see the birds and the white horses! It was fun to see the Mediterranean and to learn about the two Maries and Sarah who inspired the church there. David was very pleasant and accommodating and clearly knows a great deal about the area.

Le lieu de rendez vous est eloigné de la gare st- Roch ce qui en rend l’acces difficile. Le guide David est attentionné et flexible. Le nombre de points d’intérêt est elevé ce qui restreint le temps de visite dans chaque lieu. La balade dans les salines consomme beaucoup de temps et laisse peu de temps pour le reste. David aurait pû etre equipé d’un microphone pour etre bien entendu a l’arriere. Les chateaux et les monuments sont magnifiques. On a bien vu les chevaux et les poulains, Le prestataire pourrait prévoir un arrêt dans une manade pour voir les taureaux de plus près.
