Natalia took us on the three-hour walking tour of Turin. We'd never visited the city and were delighted to learn of its deep history and importance, from the Celts all the way to the invention of Martini, headquarters of FIAT, and more! Natalia is a local and can tell you the history of just about every building (if you want to know) and I can't imagine a more insightful and knowledgeable guide. Our tour covered the salient features of the central area of the city (mostly within the old Roman walls) including some parts outside. By the end of the tour we felt we knew the place pretty well. I'd much rather take a historical walk with Natalia than sit in one of those double decker buses and listen to an automated voice describe the monuments.
We were very pleased with our tour of Torino. Our tour guide Francesca was attentive and very eager to share the city with us. We were a family of 6, four of which were teenagers (15-18yrs) and they expressed that they liked the tour as well. The time of two hours was about right. We enjoyed the more personal approach of making suggestions of favorite places to eat, shop and enjoy good Turin chocolate! We learned a lot about the Royal Palace and decided to learn more after the tour by getting tickets to see the inside. I highly recommend this type of tour if you want a general introduction of the city and you might be short on time.
We, a group of two, walked around primarily in the old part of Turin, streets and alleys, the market place, and we heard the stories and facts about various buildings. We can absolutely recommend this as a way to get an introduction to Turin
Donatella is a very competent guide, and a very nice and friendly person. The tour of the Turin underground with her guidance is highly recommended.
Excellent tour, learnt lots about this beautiful city. A great way to start our trip as we can now revisit sights.
