In addition, enjoy the clear vista over the Adriatic sea, revealing just about any boat on the horizon. This view explains why the city was successfully defended for centuries. The town survived many wars, including the recent Homeland War from 1991-1995, but Dubrovnik was renewed in a manner that the damage is not visible. We were looking for a city walls tour but it was confusing especially with the existance of many tour companies, till we found this tour that had a convinient starting time. We enjoyed it and the guid shared with us a lot of the history behind the great walls and made the tour worth it.

The tour was well worth the money. The guide provided many insights and personal stories which made everything very interesting. So much history but given in chunks easy to digest and keep your attention. I would never want to walk the walls without the input of a local like our guide.

Desa our guide was knowledgeable, informative and interesting in the history of Dubrovnik. The walls at sunset were beautiful and more manageable in the dissipating heat of the evening. Strongly recommended.

Desa was so knowledgeable and personable she made the tour so engaging and informative! I highly recommend
