Covid-19 Update

Due to health and safety regulations, this itinerary may change. See Know before you go for the latest updates.

Benefit from pick-up at your hotel in Mexico City, and then visit the former Aztec village of Coyoacán. Get a detailed explanation about the origins and importance of this quarter and its surroundings. Get some free time to walk around its streets if you want to enjoy a light breakfast, at your expense.  Next, learn more about the life of the artist Frida Kahlo at her former home and hear about her intense relationship with her work and fellow artist – and husband – Diego Rivera. Continue to one of her favorite locations in the city and explore the pre-Hispanic origins of Xochimilco. Climb aboard a traditional trajinera boat to get a different perspective of the area. Try some of the local food in the surrounding area or go to the crafts market before making your way to the Ciudad Universitaria to see the famous murals of the Rectoría and Central Library of the National University.

Interesting neighborhood

Frida Kahlo’s House is very interesting. The Coyoacan area is neat and worth the visit. It has a neighborhood feel and is welcoming. Xochimilkco should be skipped. It requires much, too much time on a bus to travel along a large drainage ditch that offers NOTHING. Do not go! Spend your time at Kahlo’s house or the surrounding neighborhood. Our guide was very good.

I hired a private tour and until the same day they told me that they only had "general tour" available, with a substantial price difference and four days later they still don't reimburse me the amount paid of more
