Full description
Explore the life of the Mexican Emperor Maximilian I of Habsburg on a tour of Chapultepec Castle, located on top of Mexico City's Chapultepec Hill, a site once sacred to the Aztecs. Venture inside the stunning monument, and discover rooms of classical European ornamentations. Stroll the halls full of light and discover stairways made of marble. Admire the sculptures and busts of historical figures, such as the Emperor Cuauhtémoc and the Spanish Conquistador Hernán Cortés, along the way. Then depart Chapultepec Castle (also known as the "National Museum of History") and break for lunch, before going to the National Museum of Anthropology. Experience one of the most important anthropology museums in Latin America and explore rooms that detail the pre-Hispanic culture of the Maya, Toltec and other ethnic peoples through the ages. Learn more from your bilingual guide, and benefit from the chance to chat about Mexican history.

It was an amazing tour! Amigos Tour picked us in the meeting point on time and our guide, Rosa Maria, told us ALL the history of this place. Actually, she explained us everything about México history, their culture and costumes. In my opinion, her guidance made the difference. Chapultepec castle has a very beautiful arquitecture and we have a perfect view from the City there. In the Antropology museum we have all the history of American civilization, so, Its a place to learn a lot! After visiting these 2 places, we spent our time walking in Chapultepec park, its was perfect. You can’t miss this tour.

Overall fine, the guide clearly spoke knowledgeable. Only 3 details: it lasted less time than what the coupon says, we only saw 3 rooms of the Anthropology museum and the coupon said that the transfer would be by "a little train" and we did it on foot. Sorry I paid more than what I received.

We absolutely loved our guide! He was knowledgeable and really passionate about sharing the complicated history of this country with us. He worked super diligently and was so admirable as am sure for an expert of his caliber, it must be hard answering silly questions that tourists ask. We wish the tour lasted longer as he was fascinating to listen to, we would have loved to spend many more hours listening to him!
