Melbourne Star: General Admission

Buying vouchers on line apparently doesn’t allow you to board the buses straight away. This should be clarified so we can allow time with the bus staff to “redeem” out vouchers for proper tickets. While trying to complete the voucher redemption process with your bus staff, the bus I was trying to board got full and I couldn’t start my tour as I had scheduled. It’s important for your company to remember that your service is but one part of my vacation experience... an important piece but a piece nonetheless. I’m in Melbourne for a specific # of days and there are specific things I wanted enjoy. A service that places delays in my plans or causes me to eliminate parts of my itinerary because of lost time won’t get a favourable rating from me.
For Both tours, Melbourne & ST Kilda Traffic not too busy. Weather changed in afternoon halfway through City circuit had to retire downstairs as front of top deck open/ half windshield and front corners of cover water cascades onto first 3 rows of seats when stopping. Excellent apart from dusty seats up top marking clothes ST Kilda Black route and delayed start to tour commentary which was out of sync with sights on City Red route. Feel sorry for foreign visitors. Bus fleets are different all over the world however MEL could update to better mitigate frequent inclement weather and represent city. Perth Bus configuration with 3/4 enclosed A/C Cabin upstairs are better suited to inclement elements and tourist comfort during tour & delays.
It covers most fun activities in Melbourne. Mixture of nature and city. It is among the cheapest package. The total value is worth it. Except AATKing denied us from getting on board, they insisted on the physical card, instead of QRCode. As much as possible, try to cover all zoos, there are unique each. The attraction in city is "free", if you sum up all activities.
I booked for myself and my parents online and it worked out to be $49 more expensive than actually paying at the pick up point? Would have been good to know this? Other than that great trip, educational and friendly staff. Will recommend.
The experience was great and was well organised. The only downside was the commentary it is outdated....( mainly about the construction of the children’s and Peter Mac hospitals...they have been open for a number of years now)
