Join for an exhilarating day out in one of Melbourne's true hidden gems - the You Yangs Regional Park. Home to Aussie wildlife and world class biking trails only 45 mins from Melbourne!
What to Expect
Leaving the Melbourne CBD at 10am, a 45min drive will take us to the beautiful rocky granite outcrops of the You Yangs Regional Park, home to Kangaroos, Wallabies, Koalas and the elusive Echidna and our playground for the day!
The riding is broken into two sections. The first session in the morning sees the group riding through a eucalyptus plantation along the Kurrajong trails. Relatively flat with small features, this is a great way to start the day as you build your confidence while covering roughly 15km. We will then stop for a well earned rest and lunch.
We will rack the bikes up and drive to the top of the Stockyards trails. Here we find slightly more challenging and adventurous trails. Being that you start at the top, they come with some exhillarating descents as you use gravity and the confidence gained from the morning session to twist and flow your way to the bottom. All up you will cover at least 23km on the bike for the day before returning to the city around 4:30pm.
