Full description
In the morning hours you will start your tour by meeting the local partner at their camp base, here you will have an introduction to kayaking, as well as learning about aspects of the sea and the mainland life of this unique Istrian location. Start your kayaking tour with some light paddling and within an hour, you will be rewarded with an exceptional view of the high cliffs which conceal an enclosed oasis. Here, at the deep south of the Istrian Peninsula, you can marvel at Velika Kolombarica. After going through a sea tunnel and entering the cave, you will see a turquoise light shining upon millennial rocks, turning the clear sea into a natural pool. During your kayaking tour you will also have the chance to go snorkelling and explore the blue under water world. Meet the fish living in these interesting depths, and enjoy the beauty of the sea. Here, Istrian nature shows off all of its beauty - truly a sight to behold. Surrounded by both high and low cliffs, adventurers can try their luck in jumping from the rocks, having fun until the kayak tour returns to the camp. On the way back, you will go via the lonely islet of Šekovac, a place that feels like a Summer paradise all year round. Your kayak tour guides will find a secluded peaceful paradise where you can stop to listen to the chirp of crickets, the smell of the sea, and where the sound of waves offers the ambience of a real desert island.

Meeting point

The google map location is located in Camp Stupice. Follow the pin linked below after you reach the AC Stupice entrance – however it is best to avoid turning on the directions function: https://goo.gl/maps/yyPNnizMHDt Google maps automatic directions do not show the proper route to the local partner, so the best way to reach them is to follow the provided link with the pin. To enter camp stupice with a car, a fee of 30kn is required (do not confuse this with the entrance to Rt Kamenjak). It is recommended that you park the car in front of the ramp and walk to the location which is approximately 600-meters away. To reach the destination after entering the camp, follow the uphill road and take the fourth left turn. If you see a supermarket on the way, it means you have turned left prematurely and you need to go back and take the next left turn. The location is situated on the coast, on the right side of the peninsula.

Cape Kamenjak and the Blue Cave are awesome! Highly recommend spending time at both. The waters were rougher the day we went out so there wasn’t much “light” paddling going on; we were all tired and ready for lunch afterwards. Our guide was nice, as was all the staff, but we didn’t get much information during the tour. We never grouped up the kayaks to take a break and learn about the area. I actually wasn’t even sure who was in our group until we got to the cave. Cost was 50% more than our kayak tour in Dubrovnik and 25% more than the one in Split so value for money wasn’t there. A few photos were included (though none of most of our group) and a hazelnut wafer snack (not an apple and protein bar) and bottle of water.
