Full description
In this full-day experience, you may choose to meet your guide at the meeting point in Guatapé, or enjoy a hotel pickup in Medellin, depending on where you are staying. If you are in Medellin, your car will pick you up from your accommodation to begin a 90-minute drive towards the East.
The initial activity will be a guided walking tour through the colorful village of Guatapé, mostly known for the decorative tiles adorning the lower facade of the houses. Learn about the village's history and culture from your guide.
From there, you will continue to the famous El Peñol, a monolithic rock 220 meters high. Reach the summit by climbing 740 steps for an incredible 360-degree view over the surrounding landscape.
After descending, you will be served a traditional lunch known as a "Fiambre". It consists of rice, beans, meat, yuca and fried plantains in a typical wrap that travelers used to eat when crossing the mountains.
From there, hop on a boat on the Peñol-Guatapé reservoir, where music will be playing and you will share the amazing atmosphere with friends.
Enjoy a professional wakeboarding lesson, where you will learn how to wakeboard from scratch. Enjoy a 1-hour session while enjoying some cold drinks of water or soda. Then, return to the starting point.
