What to Expect
Santa Fe de Antioquia is located only two hours away from Meddelin. On the drive you will see the beautiful scenic mountain landscapes of the Western Andean highlands. The town was founded in 1541 on the Western bank of the Cauca River and became the first capital of Antioquia in 1584. It is declared a national monument thanks to its colonial architecture with many historic churches, plazas, and palaces. You'll also visit the famous Puente del Occidente across the Cauca River, which is one of the longest and oldest suspension bridges in Latin America.
