Have a look at impressive buildings, enjoy the cable car ride and get to know the warmth of Medellín’s people.
After picking you up at your hotel you start the tour near the Metro station Universidad, at the Parque de los Deseos, the Wishes Park. Here get a first impression about how building a place inviting people of all ages to relax and spend time together can improve the community’s spirit and appearance.
Next walk past the Metro station and arrive at the Botanical Garden where you get a chance to admire Colombia’s huge variety of plants, especially inside the fascinating Orchideorama with beautiful orchids, bromeliads and fern. Reaching your next stop - the Santo Domingo Library - you indulge in a magnificent view over Medellín before you learn about what the library has to offer. You get to understand why projects like providing access to computers as well as offering daycare for children with opportunities to do sports or being creative helped a lot to make a popular area out of this neighborhood and made its inhabitants proud to live there.
Back on the Metrocable ascend into the mountains and continue your tour to Arví Park. Breathing in fresh pure air you are amazed of spectacular views of a vast beautiful fog forest, a paradise full of wildflowers and butterflies. You also get the chance to visit prehispanic constructions such as platforms and antique buildings.
