Full description
Your day begins with pickup from your accommodation then heads towards the scenic southwest corner of Mauritius. Along the drive, soak up breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes which offer just a taste of the incredible things to come on today’s adventure. Pass by Le Morne and La Prairie, then stop at the stunning viewpoint at Maconde. Arrive at Baie du Cap and drive through the rolling hills of Chamarel to visit the 90-meter high Chamarel Waterfalls and the stunning Seven-Colored Earth Park. Next, head to La Rhumerie de Chamarel to learn about the process of rum making, and most importantly for a tasting session of some of the world’s best rums. Once you’ve worked up a bit of an appetite, dine on an amazon lunch at Varangue sur Morne, which boasts breathtaking views of sprawling green landscapes. After lunch, continue uphill to the viewpoint overlooking the Black River Gorges then head to the sacred lake of Grand Bassin. The next highlight of the tour is a visit to the volcanic crater of Trou aux Cerfs, with offers 360 degree views of the entire island. Finally, admire stunning models of historical sailing ships at Voiliers de l’Ocean, before returning to your hotel at the end of an unforgettable day.
