Journey into the Okavango Delta to experience the heritage and wildlife of Chief’s Island. Departing from the Island Safari Lodge, you’ll head north 45 minutes by boat to Boro.
Spend the day cruising the remarkable area of the Okavango Delta, exploring its incredible beauty. Located at the heart of Southern Africa, the delta is a World Heritage Site and one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Africa.
The Okavango delta is both a permanent and seasonal home to a wide variety of wildlife. Species include the African bush elephant, lion, blue wildebeest, springbok, and South African giraffe. The delta also hosts over 400 bird species, including the African fish eagle.
A vast inland delta, this wetland wilderness comprises sprawling plains and islands amidst a labyrinth of channels, reed beds and lily-covered lagoons. At the end of the day, you will return to the lodge by boat.
