Full description
Experience an incredible walking tour with a passionate guide and explore a new face of Marseille that is more cosmopolitan and artistic.  Explore Noailles, a district known as "the belly of Marseille", is a fascinating and lively place with its daily colorful market and its many legendary shops like the oldest drugstore in France, created in 1827. Savor tea mint with a delicious pastry included in the tour to enjoy the good vibes of Noailles and better understand the challenges this district is facing now. Go to Cours Julien were an urban art movement started in the 1980' s. See the old market garden warehouses that were located there and replaced by music stores, art studios, theaters, second-hand boutiques, bars, and cafés. Enjoy the atmosphere that made the place today a cool district dedicated to alternative culture and street art.  Admire giant frescoes, amazing artworks, and discover an architectural heritage typically from Marseille: small buildings, colorful shutters, and clothes drying in the sun. Learn about the different techniques that each creator uses and discover French and local artists. Meet a very diverse crowd from hipsters, punks, students, families, children to hippies that enjoy relaxing on Cours Julien.

I had a very pleasant moment, walking in the Marseille Street Art ! I didn't know Marseille from this angle. I can now explain the graffiti and quote some famous graffiti artists. The guide is very pleasant and adapts very well to all languages (English, Spanish, French). I recommended the visit to my friends and colleagues in Marseille. To do, otherwise you will miss what's behind the graffiti.
