Full description
Experience the beauty of the Ourika Valley up-close on this full-day scenic tour from Marrakesh, and escape the hustle and bustle of the city for the day. The Ourika Valley is the closest day trip from Marrakesh, but it’s not just its convenience that makes it special. Drive towards the Atlas Mountains, taking in the beautiful landscape of green meadows and authentic 16th and 17th-century Berber villages. If you take your tour on a Monday, you can even stop at a roadside souk. See fruit orchards, vegetable terraces, and villages clinging to the side of hills. Marvel at the labor undertaken by the Berbers who hoisted materials to construct small houses up mountain sides, and work the terraces in a hostile environment. Continue along the valley of palm trees, following the Ourika River. Fruit trees, tiny hamlets, riverside restaurants, and the summer homes of the wealthy will keep you occupied. Go to Setti Fatma to feel the refreshing waters. Feel the spray on your face as you cool down from the African heat, along with the locals of Marrakech who have made it their favorite weekend retreat.

This was fun but kind of challenging. The hiking part is tough. You need to be in some kimd of physical shape. I loved it but some of the others had a tough time. There needs to be full instructions in the description on how you should dress. I liked that our driver stopped us and gave us photo opportunities also.

Excellent day trip to the Small Atlas. Our driver, Mêhdi, was very knowledgeable and stopped at a couple of places on the way up to our final stop, including a local Berber house. Our mountain guide, Muhammad, was lighthearted and very helpful (notably as I am afraid of heights and the path was….interesting at points). All in all, thoroughly recommended though you’d be best bringing walking shoes (I wore converse, definitely could’ve used something with more grip).

The trip to Ourika was fun. Both the guide, Mohammed and the driver Omar were excellent in their roles. The hike to the falls was nice and can be done easily, Mohammed was extremely helpful even with passersby, making sure that no one gets hurt navigating the rocky parts of the hike. The view of the valley from the hilltops is just beautiful.
