Full description
Yves Saint Laurent’s first visit to Marrakech marked the start of a love affair. Captivated by the city’s colors and clamor, Saint Laurent promptly purchased a home in the heart of the Medina, which served as a refuge from the mania of Paris. On this tour, walk in the footsteps of this world-famous designer, and discover the city through his eyes.

The tour begins with pickup from your accommodation and heads to the first stop of the day, the Jardin Majorelle. Developed in the early 20th century by French painter Jacques Majorelle, this expansive and peaceful garden was purchased by Saint Laurent in 1980. As you explore the luscious gardens, learn about how Saint Laurent rescued the landmark from demolition and saved it for prosperity.

Continue the tour to Musée Yves Saint Laurent, the most popular tourist attraction in Morocco welcoming over 850,000 visitors each year. Admire the array of collections on display which feature some of the designer’s most precious creations as well as exhibitions documenting his life in Marrakech.

Throughout the tour, get a sense of how Marrakesh impacted the life of Saint Laurent and how his spirit and philosophy lives on here. By the end of the experience, you will have a deeper appreciation for the places where he spent most of his time and a new perspective of this vibrant city.
