On the far side of the mountains the landscape becomes desert-like. Admire the kasbah architecture featuring turrets, grilled windows, and peach-colored adobe walls. My wife and I went to visit Marrakech on the December Bridge 2019, and we hired this private excursion. Wonderful trip, in which you can get to know the Morocco that you do not see in the guides: towns, people, landscapes ... as well as being able to cross the High Atlas through the highest mountain pass in all of North Africa. We were able to count on the experienced driving of Abdessamad, of whom we can say that, in addition to being a Great Guide (he offered us explanations of everything we asked him and more) he is an even better driver. The roads were NOT easy at all, especially when you have to cross the High Atlas on a road under renovation and through a port with the characteristics of Alto de Tichka, and despite my wife being fearful and I distrustful, at NO time did we worry some (in fact, my wife fell asleep on the return trip, and for that to happen, she has to go very quiet). My congratulations to GetYourGuide for being able to count on Abdessamad.

It was a long journey, not least because of the large road construction site. The driver was very attentive, the mountains and the two Kasbah's worth seeing. We saved the film museum. I would have liked to take a short detour to the solar power plant / solar tower Noor 3 (240 m) in Ouarzatate. Due to our limited knowledge of English and the equally limited knowledge of English of our driver, we were unfortunately unable to do this. PS: The guide in Ait-Ben-Haddou was somewhat unmotivated and taciturn.

I was not told anything about the meeting point. The customer care of Get Your Guide (very poor), only sent an email to the local TO (how to wash your conscience). Fortunately, I contacted the guy who took me the day before on another excursion. He made a call and was able to tell me where to find me. Apart from that, it's an experience I recommend: breathtaking views. Not recommended for those suffering from car sickness. A big hello to my friend Abdelslam.
