What People Are Saying About Marrakech

A perfect way to explore the food culture in Marrakech

Our guide showed us around in the busy food marked and had arranged different kind of specialties and varieties of the food culture! It was a perfect way to start the vacation. A tip don't eat before hand!

Great cooking, great teachers, great puppy, great day

Really enjoyed this. We were greeted with tea and coffee, made bread, undertook a blind smell test, made tagine, learnt how to cut an onion like a Moroccan (which I was terrible at!), learnt how to make three unique salads, squished some very buttery crepes, and played with the tiniest greatest puppy. Michel made us feel so comfortable and really brought the theatrics to the day. This class was a highlight of the whole trip. Do it! Catered for vegetarians deliciously.

Fantastic Day - Great Food! Highly Recommended!

The Cooking Workshop with Michel and his team was perfectly organized and the atmosphere was amazing. It felt like a day with friends. I would highly recommend this workshop to all who love cooking and even to those who don't. It's a great experience! And the moroccan food you are going to prepare is just delicious. I cant wait to try the recipes at home. By the way: I'm a vegetarian and that was no problem at all. Thanks again for this great day!

So much more than expected and a fantastic host!

The whole day was perfect from start to finish. Michel collected us from our hotel even though it was further out than the usual catchment area. We were taken to the beautiful cookery school and treated attentively and generously all day. It's a lot more than just a cookery class, but more of a fun and relaxing retreat away from the usual touristy locations. Great value for money and we would recommend to anybody who has even the slightest interest in food!

Amazing introduction into Moroccan life, culture but especially food!

We met Mustapha our guide in Djema el Fna whilst looking at our map, he found us as we were standing right next to him facing our meeting point - it couldn't have been easier. He is a lovely, open-minded, intelligent and gregarious guide, with excellent English. The tour is timed perfectly as the sun is just on its way down, the temperature is dropping to a comfortable level and the hustle and bustle of the city is ramping up. The tour took in the best of the city's food heritage and culture, some of which you'd just never have known were where they are until you're guided to them by Mustapha. He is a lively guy, full of interesting facts and tit bits of information about places stopped at. His guiding technique is just pitched right so you have time to talk to your partner/friends, soak in the environment and listen to the next jewel of information or bite to eat. Do it as soon as you get there to get your bearings around the Souks and southern Medina district.
