What people are saying about Marrakech
This day was one of the best I’ve experienced in life. I cannot express how much fun I had and how kind and professional the tour guides were. This was there first booking since lockdown and I was worried about it all, especially being a solo traveler- but the tour guides were so professional and pretty much did everything I asked, picked me up on time, opened doors for me, stopped to take pictures etc. I felt like royalty! I especially enjoyed the Atlas Mountains with Ibrahim! He was so amazing and helpful. Lunch cooked by his family left me full for a whole day! And the hike was incredible!!The camel ride was just perfect!! I can’t fault this day at all, and at such a great price! I highly recommend booking these amazing people and I will be booking again on my next trip! Thank you so much and good luck post lockdown!!
I can recommend this day trip, it was a great experience. The company was flexible enough to change my ticket to Tuesday when I realised I won't be able to make Monday. Hassan the driver is a great guy, really did everything for four of us to have a nice experience from picking us up to safe driving and lots of local information which you wouldn't necessarily be able to google. In the valley in the Atlas mountains we joined another group of 5 people for a walk and lunch. Our tour guide was Ahmed, a local guy. I think this was my favourite part of the day, as he told us a lot of interesting stories and facts and invited us to his own home for a tea. (Thank you Ahmed!)
Overall it was nice but there was few things that could be improved. First of all during our first stop to see a village, the guide got a little too deep in the history of the village and Islam in general which was interesting only for first few minutes. The Argan oil house was a nice experience with breakfast and tea served for us there. One thing that was the most disappointing was the camel ride as the spot was just on the side of a road with all the camels tied together so that when we were riding them, camels head was tied to the other camels bum in front of him. It just felt quite uncomfortable and definitely not what we thought it would be.
Our guide Rashid was fantastic. Due to a mudslide he took us to a different area. He made sure that we had a full day and new experiences. He was also great with out 11 year old son and made sure to interact with him without treating him like a child. When our son wanted to pet one of the wandering sheep, he caught one for him so our son could hold him! We also had a fantastic meal at a restaurant before heading home that was included. He also made sure to take photos of all of us together to document our time. I would highly recommend!
We were met by local guide Mustapha Amazouz and his driver Karim. They were both very friendly and full of useful information about the day. We learnt alot about Moroccan culture, we felt all the information we received was interesting. The Atlas mountains were amazing to see up close after a lovely walk around the local villages. We stopped for a nice Camel ride on way for an hour which was great. Also visited a local shop where we shown the making of oils and soaps.
