What People Are Saying About Marrakech
The instructor Katrina was very good, highly recommended and we all cooked our first tagines the first time in our lives, and they were so yummy. Thanks to Katrina who was professional, she led us to wet markets and introduced so many local produce to us. A fun and yet an informative session.
You will learn how to cook a traditional marocian tajine dish from scratch on. The teacher is very friendly and answers to any question you might have in mind. Likewise, buying all ingredients with the teacher in the original market places is a must have experience when you are in Marrakesh.
Nice team, good instructions and an excellent balance between cooking and learning about cultur and herbs!
Really enjoyed this. We were greeted with tea and coffee, made bread, undertook a blind smell test, made tagine, learnt how to cut an onion like a Moroccan (which I was terrible at!), learnt how to make three unique salads, squished some very buttery crepes, and played with the tiniest greatest puppy. Michel made us feel so comfortable and really brought the theatrics to the day. This class was a highlight of the whole trip. Do it! Catered for vegetarians deliciously.
Karima was everything we hoped for. I was in Marrakech with a friend for a short stay. We're both keen cooks, and thought it would be fun to try this class. We were fortunate in being the only two "pupils" and after shopping in the markets, we prepared Moroccan salad and chicken tagine in her riad, and were taught how to make mint tea the Moroccan way (not quite what you expect). Karima was patient, knowledgeable and enthusiastic -- even after having to do the same demonstration every day. A great ambassadress for Marrakech -- and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.
