Zakynthos: Turtle Spotting Cruise on a Glass-Bottom Boat
- Transportation included
- Duration: 3 hours
The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The value for money was fantastic. It was the best way to see Turtle island and Keri caves. We loved every minute! One minor point, the boat is advertised as glass bottomed; it had a small glass square in the centre. The guide said we wouldn’t need a glass bottom to see the turtles, he was right! In the current climate of socially distancing, this wasn’t strictly adhered too either. However, we would definitely do this tour again.
Thoroughly enjoyable day the guide picked us up was very chatty and knowledgeable, he got us to the pickup in plenty of time and we were able to board the boat and enjoy the trip managing to see a turtle on the way and exploring the caves. The stop at the beach was equally as nice with only a handful of other people there (October) to enjoy the beach at turtle Island.
What an amazing day! The day was organized very well. The tour guides took us to the greatest spots and didn’t miss anything while he was explaining in English everything. They took you from the hotel and guides you for the whole day long. Every stop at the trip was one of kind on this island. Easy, quick, comfortable,m very recommended. Thank you so much!
Do not expect to see turtles for more than 1-2 seconds, as it rises to the surface to breathe. The most beautiful part of the tour is visiting the stone springs near Keri caves and swimming next to them. Stopping in the Marathonsi Island on the beach of the turtles is a very good idea for a swimming in blue waters.
Our Captain was really cool! He drives the boat really good, told us a lot of interesting facts and we enjoyed the trip a lot! However, the boat was refueled with Diesel, so there was no environmentally friendly boat as announced.
