What to Expect
Get a true taste for life in Mandalay as you pedal away from the buzzing city centre in to the countryside. This 4.5-hour guided bike ride ventures to hidden corners of the city to unveil a peaceful, slower-paced side of life deeply rooted in tradition.

The ride starts at 07.30am on the eastern side of the Mandalay Palace in a leafy neighborhood. After a bike and helmet fitting and a safety briefing start pedalling to a nearby local market. Browse the range of products and goods for sale, rubbing elbows with the shoppers and stop for a chit-chat with the vendors.

Its back on the bikes for another 20 kilometres, heading through local neighbourhoods and on to the countryside. You will likely encounter children on their way to school, monks and nuns out collecting alms, cows and ducks amid the fields and curious locals stopping to wave. Depending on the day you may also see traditional crafts being produced or harvesting activities in the fields.

As the sun begins to reach its highest point, pedal back to the starting point in time to avoid the mid-day heat finishing around 11.30 or 12.00.
