What to Expect
Your Amazon Jungle tour and survival skills course begins with a boat ride from the Tropical Hotel Marina heading towards Tupé Village.
As you travel up river, you'll learn about the 5 goals to keep in mind different types of vegetation, how to identify fruit trees, medical leaves, roots and find sources of water.
You will also learn about the different variety of dangerous animals in the jungle–piranhas, boa constrictors, jaguars, and poisonous arrow frogs can make surviving alone or even with a partner challenging. You will learn how to start a fire as it may be difficult given the moisture and humidity of the rain forest and how to construct small traps to catch animals.
