1. From Manaus: 2, 3, 4 or 5-Day Jungle Tour at Tucan Lodge

Day 1: At 8 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel and transported to the Port of Ceasa, where you’ll board a boat to see the magnificent confluence of the waters at the junction of the Rio Negro and The Amazon rivers. From there, you will be taken to the small floating village of Catalao, where you will see up close the giant-scaled Pirarucu (Arapaima Gigas). You’ll have the chance to see and feed this giant fish of the Amazon. The trip will continue for 1.5 hours by car on the highway to Ubim Lake. Continue by speed boat on a 30 to 50-minute ride (depending on the level of the waters during the time of year of your visit). Arriving at the lodge, you will be welcomed with refreshments as your accommodation is prepared. At noon, lunch is served. Afterward, there is a little time to relax and to prepare things for the activities of this first day. At 2:30 PM the group will depart in a motorized canoe for piranha fishing, bird watching, and a wonderful sunset from the middle of the river. Back at the lodge, dinner will be served at 7 PM. After dinner, depart again by motorized canoe, this time to spot Cayman. Your guide, using only his bare hands, will capture a Cayman and explain this most-feared animal of the Amazonian rivers. There will be opportunities to get great photos of this beautiful creature. Day 2: Between 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM, board a small canoe to witness nature waking up with the first rays of the sun. Marvel as the silence is slowly broken by the songbirds and creatures that call this area home. At 7 AM breakfast is served at the lodge. From 8 AM - 11:30 AM, embark on a jungle trek as your guide explains about the flora, fauna, and medicinal plants found only in the Amazon. There is also a chance to observe spiders and other animals. At noon, head back to the Lodge for lunch. If you choose the 2-day trip, in the afternoon it will then be time to head back to your accommodation in Manaus. For longer trips, at 2:30 PM the group will depart to visit an indigenous community where you will attend an indigenous ritual celebration of dancing and singing. This is a great opportunity for photos and videos! Next, the group will visit the Vazea area of the Ariau River which is a great place to spot some wildlife including monkeys and birds. Afterward, return to the lodge arriving at 5:45 PM. Dinner is served at 7 PM. After dinner, the group will leave by motorboat for a night safari with a spotlight along the river banks looking for nocturnal creatures. Day 3: After breakfast, between 8 AM and 11 AM, explore local streams via kayak. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to not only see but swim with the dolphins, the wonderful and legendary mammals of the Amazonian rivers. This is also a fantastic opportunity to get once-in-a-lifetime photos and video. After your swim, head back to the lodge for a midday meal. If you have chosen the 3-day option, at 2:30 PM begin your journey back to Manaus with arrival scheduled at 4:30 PM. Your tour will conclude at your hotel or the airport. For longer tours, get prepared to camp for a night in the forest where you will sleep in hammocks with mosquito nets. Camping will give you a chance to show off your cooking skills as the food will be prepared by guests as well as guides. Learn some local legends and survival techniques such as finding water and food at dusk. Day 4: After breakfast in the forest, have a trek around the campsite. If you have chosen the 4-day option, return to the lodge by 11 AM and at 2 PM begin your journey back to Manaus. Arrive at around 4:30 PM where you will be taken to the airport or your hotel accommodation.If you have chosen the 5-day option, learn survival techniques and how to find food and water in the rainforest. You will also learn about the creatures that only come out at night, and hopefully be able to see some of these animals that only exist here, in the rainforest. You’ll also have an opportunity for some night trekking and wildlife spotting.  Day 5:  On the last day, return to the lodge in the morning, arriving at approximately 11 AM. Then, simply relax while lunch is prepared. At 2:30 PM, begin your journey back to Manaus with arrival scheduled at 4:30 PM. You tour will conclude at your hotel or the airport.

Start your day with pickup from your hotel at approximately 8:00 AM. Drive west from Manaus for about one and a half hours until you reach the Ubin lake where your host will be waiting for you. Take a speedboat heading towards the jungle to begin a 2-hour trek. Learn more about Amazonian fauna and flora, medicinal plants, and jungle survival techniques.  From this walk, visit a project for the protection of pink river dolphins. You will drive north for about 1.5 hours, after which you will eventually arrive to the municipality of Presidente Figueiredo. Once your reach the Iracema Park, you will start a 20-minute jungle walk to reach a breath taking scenery while also developing an understanding of the Amazon Jungle. Discover the Amazon Rainforest by staying at Amazon Boto Lodge, a Jungle Lodge with all activities and meals included. The lodge is located 120 kilometers south of Manaus in the lake Juma, which is an area surrounded by a beautiful virgin forest. The lodge was built on stilts in an isolated area in the jungle with a view to the lake and jungle. The lodge does not disrupt the natural environment, which is important for forest conservation. Stay in private suites with air-conditioning and bathrooms. The Lodge is a simple and clean place, perfect for small groups interested in exploring the Amazon Jungle. You won't be overrun by guests: the Lodge hosts no more than 18 persons a time. Lunch and dinner are generally regional fresh fish, chicken, beef, beans, salads, rice, vegetables, and fruits. At breakfasts, enjoy bread, cheese, eggs, coffee, milk, juice, tea, and fruit. Day 1: At 8:00 AM, you’ll be transferred from your hotel to the Caesa port where a speedboat will take you to the “meeting of the waters”, the point where the Rio Negro and Solimões River meet. From there, you’ll be taken to the Careiro Village on the other side of the Solimões River. This excursion continues by car or van for about 1 hour to Maçarico lake. A final trip by speedboat takes you to the lodge, arriving there at approximately noon.   At 3:00 PM, the day’s activities begin. Leave the lodge by canoe for dolphin and bird watching, as well as piranha fishing. End the day by observing a spectacular sunset around 6:30 PM before heading back to the Lodge for dinner. At night, go Cayman spotting, a truly thrilling experience. Day 2: At 5:30 AM, you’ll be taken by canoe to watch the sunrise in the Amazon rainforest. Return to the lodge for breakfast before heading out for a jungle trek that takes up the rest of the morning. During the walk, you’ll learn all about medicinal plants, trees, and insects—you might even see some monkeys. If the 2-day option is booked, after lunch, leave for Manaus at around 1:30 PM, arriving for about 4:30 PM. If the 3, 4 or 5-day option is booked, the afternoon activities start at 3:00 PM with a canoeing adventure in a flooded forest. From September to February, this activity is done by trekking. Spend a few hours quietly passing through the exuberant Amazon jungle while learning about the flora and fauna from your guide. After dinner, go out on a motorized boat for the Night Safari, where you’ll be likely to see some wildlife along the rivers and small channels.   Day 3: From 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, visit the home of a local family to learn about their simple but wonderful way of life in the forest. Return to the Lodge for lunch. If the 3-day option is booked, after lunch you’ll leave for Manaus at about 1:30 PM for a 4:30 PM arrival.   If the 4 or 5-day option is booked, after lunch, go out to explore some more small channels and spot birds, monkeys, Caymans and dolphins. Optionally, learn about nocturnal wildlife by staying overnight in the forest and going spearfishing.   Day 4: After breakfast, go trekking in a different area where you’ll learn survival techniques and plenty of facts about the forest. Return to the Lodge for lunch. If the 4-day option is booked, leave for Manaus after lunch for a 4:30 PM arrival time. If the 5-day option is booked, prepare yourself to go out camping in the woods and spend the night in the forest with your guide.   Day 5: After breakfast, go on a canoe trip to explore and swim in the lake. Return to the lodge for lunch at about 11:00 AM. After enjoying lunch, leave the lodge and head back to Manaus.

On the first day, you'll start around at around 8:00 AM, being picked up from your accommodation and then heading to the port. Here, you'll take a boat and head off for a full day of activities.
