  • From Manaus: Negro River Half-Day Trip

    4. From Manaus: Negro River Half-Day Trip

Your trip begins with a pickup from your hotel. Head to the marina where a boat will be waiting for you. Depart upstream on the Negro River to visit an indigenous tribe that came from the border with Colombia and still keep their traditions, language, and rituals. Learn from them about their lifestyle and watch as they demonstrate their traditional rituals. Afterwards, visit a project that takes care of the freshwater pink dolphins. Have the chance to enter the water and touch these amazing docile creatures. Be sure to take photos of this unforgettable moment. Dolphins frequent this location because of the care and friendliness of the locals. Enjoy the rest of your trip on a beautiful, white sand, and warm water beach of the Negro River.

It was absolutely amazing! The tour was exactly as it's been promised n even better. The weather was ok in the beginning but as it seemed that is going to change I asked my guide Milto, I believe his name, to start from the dolphins as that was and my priority and he agreed. In general the guide was very informative, flexible, calm n fluent jn English! He didn't mind to extend the 4 hours that the tour was supposed to take and drive us as smooth as possible through the waves because on our way back there was a storm. I totally recommend the tour with this guide who actually is running a private business in Amazon so he knows how to treat tourists.

The tour was guided by Aldinei Cruz who is an excellent guide. He brought us to different places while taking the boat. He explained clearly to us the different type of plants and their function in the forest. Aldinei was able to answer all other questions we had around the Amazonas, the people and their culture. We enjoyed the different stops during the tour and even saw more than what was part of the tour description, Very good, strongly recommended.

The guide was very prompt he picked us up at the hotel on time. His English was good and he was very knowledgeable I highly recommend this tour
