Explore Malta's vibrant capital on a 4-hour walking tour of Valletta. Wander among beautifully preserved medieval buildings and enjoy breathtaking views from the Upper Barracca Gardens. Learn about the famous knights at the Cathedral museum, and more.
What to Expect
Described as a microcosm of European history, Malta nestles in the warm glow of the Mediterranean, and is a popular vacation spot for good reason.
But this 4-hour sightseeing tour - most of it on foot - goes beyond the sea, sand and sun of Malta’s good life. Your guide will meet you at your hotel for a city tour of Valletta, the tiny island’s bustling capital. First, you will drive to the Upper Barracca Gardens for panoramic views of the world’s deepest harbor. Admire the honey-colored buildings and extravagant yachts.
Return to the walled city center to continue on foot. Stroll along historic streets, peeking inside decorative churches. Discover a famous Caravaggio painting in the Oratory of St. John’s Co-Cathedral, the conventual church of the Knights of Malta.
There will be time to visit the museum to learn about the Knights and the origin of the Order. Then, take in the splendor of their magnificent Grandmaster’s Palace, now home to the Maltese parliament and president’s office. This astonishing building marks the end of your tour.
