Full description
Visit three of Malta's most distinct attractions on this half-day tour in the heart of the island. Explore the town of Mosta and stop in at the Church of St. Mary, which features one of the largest domes in the world. On April 9, 1942 a German bomb pierced the dome and fell among a congregation of more than 300 people, but did not explode. The event has become legendary, with many regarding it as a miracle. A replica of the bomb can be seen in the church's sacristy. Then visit the nearby village of Ta'Qali, where a former British military outpost has been converted into handicraft workshops. Here you can watch local artisans at work blowing elaborate glass art pieces, intricately assembling silver filigree jewelery, and carving local limestone. Finish with a visit to Mdina, Malta's ancient capital and one of the world's best medieval fortifications. Admire panoramic views of the entire Maltese landscape, and visit St. Paul's Cathedral ̶ built on the site where governor Publius was reported to have met St. Paul following his shipwreck off the Maltese coast.

Very quick visit to Mostra Church, then some craft shops ( ok if you are into that), then onto M'dina for an hour and a quarter. Doesn't sound long but it really is plenty of time to see this charming place. Leave the guide to explore yourself ( guided tour definitely not needed- place is tiny and impossible to get lost), and you would even have time to have a meal there. Guide was great, pick up OK. Good value and back in Valetta at 2pm.

The church of Mosta as well as the glass blowing and silver jewelry were very nice destinations. Mdina totally impressive. However, I found the entire tour was a bit rushed. I would have liked a little more time in Mdina to enjoy the city and to visit more there. Instead, you felt a bit like being chased. It was a shame.

4 stars.

I like the trip, but it was to short. Mosta Church - beautiful, but too short. A bit mess, no time for photos. Visit in Craft Village was so fast and without any information how everything works. We were also in the silver shop what is unnecessary. Mdina - too short walk with guide. I think trip to Silent City should be longer.
