Also called The Citadel, it is on Malta's tentative list of future UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and contains an old prison within the city walls. This was overall a good trip. The scenery is beautiful on Gozo and a lot was included - hotel pick up and drop off, return ferry, bus around the island, guided sightseeing, and lunch. Our guide seemed a bit stressed out, although perhaps that is understandable with the many transitions we had to make. We did not appreciate being scolded though. The optional boat ride was well worth the €4. We were surprised to discover how amazing the Citadel was, considering it was kind of an optional place to see after lunch. It was really a place that deserved a scheduled stop.

Overall the tour was good minus a pointless stop at a souvenir store. The tour included hotel pick up, ferry tickets, and lunch. Negatives were the buses (dirty), communication (tour given in 3 languages at the same time) and being berated by the tour guide over a ferry ticket. Ferry tickets were included in the tour and the guide started giving them out to people while boarding the bus at the end of the tour. However, I boarded before her so I did not get a ticket nor did she make an announcement she was giving them out. Only after the bus started moving did she say, “Now I have given you your ferry tickets.” Not a big deal, I figured I would grab mine before exiting the bus but when I asked for mine, she got mad and said, “I don’t have any more!” Then made it seem like my fault she didn’t have enough tickets, and accused another passenger of taking an extra ticket for me. She paraded me on front of all the passengers saying, “she says she has no ticket.” Overall unprofessional

Our guide Anna was excellent and managed the group very well. We were originally signed up for a private tour but the company did not respond and Viatour was unable to solve the problem. We booked the night before for this tour and the response was immediate. The bus was a little late but the communication was excellent. The lunch was average but quick and well organised. Totally worth the cost, which was half the cost of a private tour. The commentary was great, and Anna fluent in three languages. Different small groups for different languages would have been better.
