Mallorca: Full-Day Winery Small Group Tour

An excellent tour covering 3 very different Mallorcan wine producers. The tour was by Avenida Tours and when we saw our guide was German we worried that we may encounter a language barrier. We needn't have worried. Initial communication was excellent and our guide Majk spoke excellent English and indeed translated both Spanish and German conversations on the tour. In addition, Majk contacted us pre pick up to communicate a delay due to a road accident so we were kept up to date. As far as being the only English on the tour, it turned out we were the only 2 people, resulting an excellent personal service throughout. We visited 2 'traditional' vineyards, both of which gave an excellent tasting experience (one with an excellent lunch) and an urban based wine producer where Anna (the crazy cat lady) entertained us with stories translated by Majk and plied us with wines, vermouth & London dry Gin. Believe me, 3 tastings sessions is enough. All told an excellent day and highly recommended

We had a lovely day, great couple with us from California, we got on so well, made the day that extra. The first vineyard we went to was brilliant, the tour around the set up good, the best was the tasting, although it cost us as we purchased six bottles to send home 🤣 The second vineyard was OK, lovely setting and food, only really a tasting session as more a commercial vineyard. If we had a choice we would have skiped the last as our host was German and spoke to the large German party all the time, she couldn't speak English so was a waste of time!

Such a wonderful day! Michael was an excellent Guide and after a comprehensive history of Mallorca and a visit to a beautiful monastery he took us to three incredible wineries and a splendid lunch (with wine too). We absolutely loved Son Campaner - Drinking their wine as I write this. Please go there and meet lovely Julia the winemaker, harvester, wine tasting expert and all other things. We also loved Vi De La Terra; purchased wine their as well. That said, overall, I give this tour a 10+; you should book and ask for Michael!
