The Axarquia one of the most mountainous regions in Spain and belongs to the province of Malaga. On this tour, you will see the panoramic countryside of the Axarquia with its vineyards, olive trees, and almond trees and have a short break at Comares.
What to Expect
After your cruise ship sails into the port of Malaga, a staff member will pick you up and drive you to the buggy station in Moclinejo (about 30 minutes away). This 3-hour scenic drive will take you through breathtaking landscapes. It begins in Moclinejo and follows a 500-year-old cattle track up to Comares. Comares is known as the roof of Axarquia.
After a short break, continues through the wine fields, olive and mango trees to Cutar. From Cutar, you will travel via Almachar back to Moclinejo. Then, visit a historical bodega and have a wine tasting of some locally produced wine. This is special for the tour, as the bodega is usually not open to the public. After about an hour of wine tasting, you will be driven back to the port (about 30 minutes).
