What to Expect
Take a sightseeing tour of Madrid by self-balancing Segway with a choice of 3 different routes in the historic city center. Discover the Madrid of the Hapsburg Empire, or ride along the banks of the Manzanares River. Taste local produce in San Miguel Market, and more.

Route 1: Hapsburg Madrid / Central Madrid (1.5 Hours)
Meet your guide on Calle Escalinata near the Ópera metro station, and Segway down the Gran Via after a short training session. Admire the Art Deco façades of the buildings on Madrid’s most famous boulevard before going to the vast public square of Plaza de España. See the monument to Cervantes before going to the Egyptian Temple of Debod in the public gardens of the Parque del Oeste.

Continue to Madrid Cathedral (Catedral de la Almudena) next to the Royal Palace (Palacio Real). Admire the imposing façade of the Spanish Royal Family’s official residence. Then, glide over to the Royal Theater (Teatro Real) with its restored 1850 Opera House. Continue to the 19th-century Iglesia de Santiago and Plaza de la Villa. Experience the hustle and bustle of everyday life at the Mercado de San Miguel. Visit public squares, such as Plaza Mayor and the Puerta del Sol. Look at the royal monastery of the Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales, before experiencing the hectic pace of Plaza de Callao.

Route 2: Madrid by the River (1.5 Hours)
This route takes in Madrid’s most cosmopolitan and green zones. Following your short training session at Calle Escalinata, discover the sights along the banks of the Rio Manzanares. See historical bridges, such as the Baroque-style Bridge of Toledo and the city’s oldest river crossing at the Bridge of Segovia, built from granite stone under the reign of King Philip II. Discover new city icons, such as the futuristic footbridge of the Arganzuela Gangway by Dominique Perrault. This route is especially recommended for families with small children.

Route 3: Tapas and Tour (2.5 Hours)
The 3rd route is the longest and most complete option, presenting 2.5 hours of history, legends, monuments, landscapes, fun and gastronomy. As with the previous routes, you will meet your guide on Calle Escalinata near the Ópera metro station for a short training session before embarkation. It also includes a visit to the historic Mercado de San Miguel. Constructed in 1916, the market is the finest example of cast-iron architecture in Madrid. Stroll among the 33 different stalls to experience the fine art of tapas eating. Savor Spanish interpretations of international cuisines and local specialties such as croquetas or paella.
