During 2 and a half hours you will visit one of the most interesting areas in Madrid, the Prado Boulevard and the Literary Quarter. You will travel back in time to discover an important period of Madrid history.
What to Expect
Let your guide take you on an informative stroll through the charming Literary Quarter. These narrow streets were home to the greatest figures of Spanish Literature (Miguel de Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Calderón de la Barca, among others). You will see the house of Lope de Vega and the church were Miguel de Cervantes was buried. Learn about the Spanish Golden Age, a period of flourishing in arts and literature never seen before.
During the second part of the tour you will explore the majestic Prado Boulevard which was designed by the Bourbon dynasty. This area includes emblematic places such as the Prado Museum, the Church of San Jeronimos el Real, the Spanish Parliament and the Palace of Communications.
This tour finishes at Plaza de la Independencia Square, which is located the Alcalá Gate, one of the symbols of Madrid.
