Lychakiv Cemetery – one of the oldest necropoleis in Europe, that covers the area of 40 hectares. There are more than 300,000 graves, and 500 sculptures at the cemetery. Many famous Ukrainian, Polish, German and Austrian people are buried in the center of it. Among the most famous: Solomiya Krushelnytska, Volodymyr Ivasjuk, Ivan Trush, Artur Grotger, Stephan Banakh, Ivan Franko. On this tour, you will see “the alley of fame” where popular writers, politicians, musicians are buried. Discover the most interesting and beautiful sculptures and chapels and hear the stories that are behind the monuments.

Alexander was extremely knowledgeable about the site. He provided very in-depth information about a number of different people and graves in the cemetery. He also personalized the tour a bit to show specific areas based off of our questions.
