Visit the famous Tombs of the Workers at Ramesseum - Valley of Queens. See remarkable sights at this mysterious place, and explore tombs of legends on the West Bank of Luxor.
What to Expect
Your day will begin with a pick-up from your hotel in Luxor; the drive will take you to the Tombs of the Workers. Here you can enjoy the sights of well over 400 tombs on the West Bank of Luxor. The tombs span over an impressive three kilometers from the village of Deir El-medina running northwards to Dra Abu Al-Naga. Here you will see Tombs of the Nobles, many of whom had direct contact with the Pharaohs.

The tour will then take you on to visit Ramesseum, a funerary temple of Ramses II (1279-13 bc) erected on the west bank of the Nile. The temple, famous for its 57-foot seated statue of Ramses II (of which only fragments are left), was dedicated to the god Amon and the deceased King. The walls of the Ramesseum, which is only about half preserved, are beautifuly decorated with reliefs, including scenes depicting the Battle of Kadesh, the Syrian wars, and the Festival of Min.

After that you will visit the Valley of the Queens. The Valley of the Queens is located on the West Bank at Luxor (ancient Thebes). There are between 75 and 80 tombs in the Valley of the Queens, or Biban al-Harim. The tombs belong to Queens of the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties and, amongst others, includes the Tomb of Khaemwese. Another tomb to look out for is the Tomb of Queen Titi (Tomb 52). Labeled the queen of the 20th dynasty she is depicted in the presence of the gods Thoth, Atum, Isis and Nephthys.

After a packed day you will return back to your hotel.
