Explore Luxor and Karnak Temples by horse-drawn carriage on a romantic half-day tour. Travel by traditional Calesh (horse-drawn carriage) on a private tour to the East Bank of Luxor and experience one of the oldest religious sites in the world.
What to Expect
This half-day private tour explores the East Bank of Luxor, and 2 of the most impressive temples in Upper Egypt. We will pick up you from your hotel in the morning by Calesh, a traditional horse-drawn carriage, and transfer you to the amazing Temple of Karnak, dedicated to the God Amon.
An expert Egyptologist guide will lead you through the oldest religious site in the world.
Although badly ruined, few sites in Egypt are more impressive. Karnak is the largest temple complex built by man, representing the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs. The Temple is made up of 3 main temples, several smaller enclosed temples and outer temples, all situated on 247 acres of land.
You will then travel through Luxor to the Temple of Luxor, which was also devoted to the dynastic God Amon under his 2 aspects of celestial Amon-Re and ithyphallic divinity. Explore the 2 oldest parts, from the pharaohs Amenhotep III and Ramses II.
Before the scorching afternoon heat arrives, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Luxor city center at the end of an enchanting half-day tour.
