Lumbini is one of the most popular sites for Buddhist pilgrimage in Nepal, being considered the birthplace of Buddha. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997. On this tour you will discover the different temples and monasteries of Lumbini and stay in a five star hotel.
Itinerary:
Day 1:
Be picked up from your hotel in Kathmandu and drive 8 hours to Lumbini (Bhairahawa). Check into your room at the Tiger Palace Resort and stay overnight.
Day 2:
After an early breakfast at your hotel, visit the Lumbini Garden for worship, then drive to Tilaurakot, also known as Kapilvastu. Visit the major shrines and monuments such as Gotihawa, Niglihawa and Kundan. Discover the temple of Mayadevi, one of the Pillars of Ashoka with its 9-meter sandstone shaft, and many other religious and historical artifacts. Overnight at Tiger Palace Resort.
Day 3:
Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to Kathmandu. Visit Ramgram on the way to Kathmandu.
