The combination Oak Alley Plantation experience and airboat ride in the Mississippi Delta was an excellent excursion. Transportation from major hotels in the New Orleans area was punctual and comfortable. The Oak Alley portion included a house tour and access to the historic grounds. Lunch is not included but there was a cafe with coffee, sandwiches and snacks, as well as a restaurant with specialty cocktails and delicious, local fare. The airboat ride was our favorite part. Captain Ernie was delightful and informative with a vast knowledge of the area and all its flora and fauna. And yes, there were alligators! I highly recommend this experience if you are traveling in the area.
The swamp tour was lots of fun and I would recommend taking one. Fun to cruise the bayou waters. Something a tourist doesn't do everyday. Seen lots of alligators along with many raccoons running around. Our guide was very informative and fun loving. Cannot remember his name ( had a salt and pepper beard tho lol).
This was an excellent tour. It is self guided with a device and headphones but I loved that because I could go at my own pace. Our bus tour guide John was awesome and told us so much about new Orleans! Definitely recommend this place to visit.
Tour guide was amazing! Gave lots of history on New Orleans throughout the drive to Whitney plantation. Whitney was also a great experience.
Swamp tour was excellent. Plantation tour wasn't really what we thought it would be. Would have maybe picked a bigger plantation.
