Los Gigantes

Climb aboard a beautiful sailing boat at the port in Los Gigantes and set sail on a 3-hour small-group cruise to look for whales and other marine life in their natural environment. Cruise out into the open sea in search for dolphins and pilot whales in an intimate group of no more than 9 people. Help raise the sail if the conditions are right and travel across the waves powered by the wind! Get served complimentary drinks, along with fresh fruit on board the boat. Drop anchor to go for a swim in the sea or snorkel with the marine life in a small cove of outstanding beauty. Return to the boat to enjoy freshly made sandwiches. Then, slowly navigate your way back to port enjoying the great views of the cliffs along the way.

Set sail in search of pilot whales and dolphins in their natural habitat on a 4.5-hour cruise. Board the boat and enjoy a snack as you look out for marine wildlife. Watch these amazing creatures through underwater windows on the boat.   Travel along the southern coast of Tenerife, until you arrive at the spectacular Acantilado de los Gigantes and the Bay of Masca. Marvel at the dramatic cliffs that reach 600 meters high. Stop to enjoy a relaxing swim in the calm waters of the bay. A courtesy lunch and drinks are included in this tour (beer, sangria, softdrinks, juice, and water).   Enjoy beautiful views of southern Tenerife on the return journey to the port in Puerto Colon. If you select the option with hotel transfers, the bus will take you back to your pickup point.

Set sail from Costa Adeje in search of whales and dolphins. Cruise in a catamaran to the cliffs of Los Gigantes and Masca. Sunbathe on deck and enjoy a stop to swim in the sea. Sail to an ideal spot for swimming and snorkeling and get acquainted with some of the region's diverse underwater life.  Look out with your guides for any of the 28 species of cetaceans that pass through the islands, including bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales. You'll depart from Puerto Colon at 11:00AM at which point you will go in search of whales and dolphins. During your 5-hour excursion you will visit the cliff of Los Gigantes, as your boat sails to an area where there is a greater possibility to see pilot whales. You will have a 30-minute stop to see the whales in their natural environment, and at the end of the whale watching experience you will sail to the cliffs of Los Gigantes. Once there, anchor in one of the bays under the cliffs of Los Gigantes whilst enjoying some lunch. Following that, go swimming in the inviting waters before sailing back to Port Colón along the southwestern coast of Tenerife.

After pick-up, your first stop on this day-long tour will be La Laguna, an important historical center of the island and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, it's on to Candelaria, a fishing town and where you can find a statue of the Candelaria Virgin, patron saint of the Canary Islands, as well as the stunning Candelaria Basilica. This city is an important place of pilgrimage situated in the southeast of the island. Your next visit will be to El Médano, a charming beach with majestic views of the volcanic cone Montana Roja. The next stop, Garachico, is a city blooming with flowering trees and full of fascinating history. Other highlights of your tour include La Orotava and Los Gigantes Cliff. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel, port or apartment.

Begin your tour with departure from the pickup point early in the morning. From there, head toward the capital of the island, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Get a panoramic guided visit where you will discover the auditórium (designed by Santiago Calatrava), the castle of San Juan, and the Palmetum, a palm oasis in the middle of the city. From here, move on to the next stop, San Cristóbal de la Laguna, the first city founded in Tenerife after the conquest of the island in July 1496. No city on the island of Tenerife preserves the colonial past so well and in so little space. Take a walking tour through the old cobbled streets, and hear about the history and architecture of the city and its stately homes and churches. Next, reboard the bus to head to the next stop. On your way to Teide National Park, stop at some viewpoints in the mountains to take some pictures of the breathtaking landscape before continuing to the volcano. Once there, get to know the 3rd-highest volcano in the world — Teide — and marvel at its 3,700 meters (12,000 feet) of altitude and the lunar landscape that surrounds it. Spend 2 hours here to enjoy the wealth of fauna and flora, as there are a large number of species exclusive to the park. Walk around and discover more about the park's formation and the life in its surroundings. After this, return to the south after a day full of natural landscapes.
