On this overview of Los Angeles you’ll see landmark icons and secret gems, from Hollywood to Santa Monica, and the Farmers Market to Beverly Hills. You’ll explore the greater LA area both on foot and by public transit, in the company of a local guide.
What to Expect
Begin your full-day Los Angeles tour in Hollywood, the city’s birthplace of film, and see the Chinese Theater and Dolby Theater against the backdrop of the iconic Hollywood sign. Look for the stars of your favorites on the Walk of Fame.
Head off the beaten path to Hollywood hotspots, to the hidden gems even some residents don’t know about, like the secret garden right on Hollywood Boulevard!
Then it’s time to jump on a local bus for a quick ride down Fairfax to an LA institution that’s over 80 years old. The original Farmers Market began in 1934 as a makeshift gathering of local farmers selling fresh produce out of trucks. Today, the market is a mix of tantalizing food stalls, old-fashioned vendors, fresh produce, and loads of local atmosphere!
Lunch is at your own cost, giving you the freedom to choose from the vast array of delicious foods available. After lunch you’ll take a short bus ride to the heart of Beverly Hills. Taste a treat from a world-famous cupcake bakery, then check out whatever costumes, sets, and props are on display at a local media museum. Finally, take a stroll along Rodeo Drive, one of the most renowned shopping streets in the world.
From Beverly Hills, you’ll ride through West Los Angeles, passing by high-rises, UCLA, and through the neighborhoods of Westwood and Brentwood. When you arrive in Santa Monica, you’ll admire the views of the Pacific Ocean and then head off on a quintessential LA experience, riding a laidback California Beach Cruiser bicycle.
Soak up local culture and the southern California sun, and enjoy the Pacific breezes on a leisurely 10-kilometer ride from the Santa Monica Pier to lively Venice Beach, home to Muscle Beach, funky shops, and eclectic locals.
Finish your city tour at the Santa Monica Pier, where your guide will help you find public transportation or a taxi to your next destination.
