  • Vancouver: North Shore Favorites Bus Tour

    1. Vancouver: North Shore Favorites Bus Tour

Discover the best of the North Shore's 2 cities, North and West Vancouver, on this guided bus tour. Meet your guide in downtown Vancouver and travel over Lions Gate Bridge to arrive at your first stop, Ambleside Park. Here, enjoy fantastic views over the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean towards Vancouver Harbour, as well as the best views of Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park. Leaving Ambleside Park, start the climb up the mountain. Stop at either Capilano Suspension Bridge with its Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk or continue higher and take the gondola up to the summit of Grouse Mountain. After your optional stop, head back down towards the water on Lonsdale Avenue, the heart of North Vancouver. Finish your tour at Lonsdale Quay Market, where you can travel like a local and take the Seabus across to downtown Vancouver, or head back to downtown on the coach.

  • Vancouver: North Van Shipyard Food Tour

    2. Vancouver: North Van Shipyard Food Tour

North Vancouver's Lower Lonsdale neighborhood is playing host to an emerging foodie scene. Meet your guide at the Lonsdale Quay Market to begin your tour or select the option to have your guide meet you at Canada Place to take you to North Van via SeaBus. A scenic 15-minute sea-bus ride from downtown across the inlet will bring you to Vancouver's North Shore and the famous Lonsdale Quay Market. You will also learn about this area's early settlers and shipbuilding history as you are tasting the delicious samples of local vendors. Try some candied salmon, brie and pear pizza, British Columbia wine, local craft beer, freshly-made salsa and guacamole, juicy meatloaf, tender calamari, avocado chocolate tart, local ice cream.

Food tour highlites mini veggie sticks immersed in a saffron sauce covered in a mozzarella mound, a pizza delight. Next stop the fish market pass tray of dried smoked salmon morsels marinated in teriyaki, maple syrup and lathered in hot spices. We meandered over to the wine bar for a cab sav and merlot tasting then we exited the building to view pictures and tablets of yesterday’s shipbuilders. Up the street to the ice creamery a fav in the area...notice the veggie boxes along the way...easy pickings! Final stroll to the art wall for a quick pic with the family to remember our visit. The sweetest surprise was the aroma emanating from the warm bun shop...the buns are filled with coconut, chocolate and maple syrup. It’s a must stop and my favorite. Add another experience by taking the Seabus from downtown Vancouver to North Vancouver. The Shipyard tour is appealing to all ages, offers variety, shipyard history, and a tasting of the areas foods.
