The Derry Girls Walking Tour with Gleann was phenomenal. Gleann is super funny, knowledgeable and clearly loves his city. my friend and I are huge Derry Girls fans and it was great to learn about the history of the city while delving into the details of the show with a great guide like Gleann
It was very moving hearing John speak about Bloody Sunday and the aftermath. Seeing the landmarks and monuments were surreal. Would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to understand a bit more about ‘Free Derry’.
Loved the mix of information and stories. Well worth it. I got confused with the meeting point and believe saying it’s outside the front of the Visitor Information Centre would be better.
John’s personal knowledge of local history made the tour very special. We learned about the events in Derry and the place of these “troubles” relevant to international civil rights.
The tour guide was friendly, humourous and passionate
