London Transport Museum is situated in the heart of Covent Garden and is filled with stunning exhibits. The Museum explores the powerful link between transport and the growth of modern London since 1800. Historic vehicles, world-famous posters and the very best objects from the Museum’s extraordinary collection are brought together to tell the story of London’s development and the part transport played in defining the unique identity of the city. From horse-drawn buses through to the world’s first underground railway and the creation of the famous Underground map, colorful displays and exhibitions provide a window into how transport keeps London moving. Lovely day out for my sons birthday Lots to explore in the museum loads of information as well Only issue was some older children hogging the play areas so was impossible for my 2 year old to get on the buses for a picture and pretend play so slightly ruined the day but that’s a parenting issue May be helpful to have someone monitoring those areas to avoid any conflict as I had to ask the children to come off after waiting 30 mins

The Museum was excellent but I found out whilst there that my ticket only allowed me to enter the once. To my surprise an annual pass is exactly the same amount and I was not told this on booking. As I go there frequently I was very upset to know I can’t use the ticket again.

This was my first visit back to the LTM since I was a child which resurfaced some fond memories. I took my 2yr old son who is mesmerised by mechanical & motorised vehicles at present especially busses. It was a shame some of the museums features were out of bounds due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Would have been special to see him get inside a carriage on the old steam train or jump into a route master bus? Especially given the costing of the 2x Adult tickets in today’s economic downturn Overall we had a good experience of learning how Londons transportation system has transitioned from 1800 to present day.
