What to Expect
Your full-day tour begins with a morning visit to Durrington Walls and Woodhenge, which is home to the the Stonehenge Builder's' village and the most convincing evidence for human sacrifice. The tour continues a short distance to Stonehenge, where you’ll enjoy a leisurely paced walk through the landscape immediately surrounding Stonehenge.
Visit the Stonehenge Cursus, Bronze Age burial mounds, and walk along the Stonehenge Avenue. Your morning tour ends at Stonehenge with a guided walk around the stone circle, as your archaeologist guide brings this enigmatic, ancient, and mysterious monument to life.
At around mid-day you’ll arrive at the medieval city of Salisbury, where you’ll have around 1.5 hours to explore the city center on your own. Admission to Salisbury Cathedral is included in the tour price. This is also a good opportunity to have lunch.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Avebury World Heritage Landscape. See Silbury Hill, the largest man-made hill in prehistoric Europe. Enter the 5,500-year-old burial chamber of West Kennet Long Barrow, a sacred space originally reserved for ritual specialists and the dead.
The tour finishes with a visit to the largest stone circle in Europe, with the medieval village of Avebury located inside.

• Cancellation notification and tickets returned more than 28 days prior to departure: fee is 20 percent of the total value
• Cancellation notification and tickets returned between 27 and 15 days prior to departure : fee is 50 percent of the total value
• Cancellation notification and tickets returned within 14 days of the day of departure: fee is 100 percent of the total value
If we are required to cancel the whole tour before departure because of unusual, unforeseen circumstances beyond our control or under-booking, we will refund all of the money you have paid, but you will not be entitled to any compensation for the loss of the tour.
Under-booking means that the minimum number of bookings required to run a tour is not met. We will notify you no later than 2 weeks in advance if this is the case.
