Full description
After arriving at the meeting point, head directly to the city of Bath, one of England’s most historic and visited cities, and itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take in some of the impressive sights of this attractive and historic city as you walk through its picturesque streets. Visit the remarkable ancient Roman Baths, and the Georgian Grand Pump Room. An optional walking tour allows you to see where writer Charles Dickens once lived and worked, and to sample some of the delicious local cheeses. From there continue to the village of Lacock, another historic site dating back to Saxon times. This scenic village has been the site of several major films and productions, with parts of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone filmed here. Take your time to look around the village, before stopping for an early evening meal in one of England’s oldest pubs, The George Inn, built in 1361. Leave Lacock and head towards Stonehenge as the sun sets, giving you a dramatic view of this incredible monument. Enjoy these jaw-dropping monoliths with a unique viewing experience that guarantees direct access to the stones, unavailable to members of the general public. Your guide will discuss the history of this 5,000 year old site, the most famous prehistoric monument in the world, and explain the many mysterious theories about how exactly it was built. Away from the crowds, marvel at this ancient construction and see for yourself why it is one of the most visited sites in the world, before boarding your coach and returning to London.

The whole tour was great. It is highly recommend that if you go to Stonehenge you do a tour that includes going into the circle. There are things to see there that you can't from outside. The Sunset tour had 52 people and we broke into 2 groups, each spending a half hour inside the circle.

We had a great guide and it was awesome that only our bus group were allowed to walk around. Well worth the price. Josie Q

I found this a very good way to see one of England's most famous sites. On arrival we went straight into the site without waiting. The tour of Stonehenge is very interesting and so is the tours of Lacock and Bath, which are very beautyfull cities worth it to leave London for the day.

My wife and I both had a rare day off at the same time and so took the Stonehenge Sunset tour to enjoy some time out together. Everything was easy to arrange and our guide/driver was a pleasure to share the day with. I'd imagine some tourists might prefer more time at Stonehenge (and perhaps this can be arranged if you ask) but we found Lacock and Bath to be far more worthwhile. Honestly it's a bit embarassing how close we have lived to these places are whole lives without visiting them! Anyway, great tour. Recommended.
